Hitler was renowned for his leadership during and prior to World War II; many historians have attributed the rise of Hitler due to his stellar leadership by raising Germany back from economic and political ruin. Undoubtedly there are many other factors to consider such as the circumstances that Germany was in prior to World War II but there can be no doubt that his leadership played a major role in his rise. Through the leadership of Adolf Hitler, Germany was able to overcome its economic slump and regain its power after the disastrous treaty of Versailles following World War I.

 LIST OF FACTORS

Nazi Ideology

The Nazi ideology can be attributed to the rise of Hitler but it was Hitler himself who shaped it and used it to strengthen his standing in the eyes of the nation. Hitler’s goal was to use the Nazi ideology as a platform to introduce his various promises to the people of Germany.

Charisma & Oratorical skills

Hitler possessed the ability to capture the attention of the people during his many legendary public speeches. The rise of Hitler can be further attributed to his appeal as it far exceeded that of the Nazi Party, so much so that the German people would just follow him even though their beliefs may not necessarily coincide such as his anti-Semitic views.

Fear of Communism

Hitler was known to manipulate events in his favour thus he used the fear of communism to exploit the people; one of the Nazi party’s early propaganda campaigns in the late 1920s was crude yet effective, they blamed the Communist for the economic collapse Germany was going through.

Reorganization of Nazi Party

The Nazi party went through multiple reorganization so that they could survive and wait for the right moment to take control of Germany. Hitler first realised this when his revolution, called the 1923 Beer Hall Putsch, failed and he was imprisoned. He had to change his strategy to make sure the Nazi Party survived and flourished.

Skilfullness at making political deals

Hitler was able to slowly lie in wait patiently for the right moment to make deals with other politicians for his own benefit. In 1933, Hitler was made Chancellor after making a deal with other politicians to help control the communists. However, he chose that point to gain more power and support so that he could overthrow the government.
